The 2013 China (Zhangjiajie of Hunan) International Forest Conservation Festival was unveiled on October 12.

Qianyang Ancient Town in western Hunan s Hongjiang City was approved as a 4A National Scenic Spot by the National Scenic Spots Quality Grade Evaluation Committee on September 24.
On September 21, the Sixth World Go-chess Contest was held on the South Great Wall of Fenghuang Ancient Town, Hunan Province.
