I never expected that Zhangjiajie would be so a fantastic place before I came.
We, 5 of us, wanted to have a trip in China for 7 days, since all of us love the natural beauty and we could not make an agreement between Guilin and Zhangjiajie. 1 of my american friends told me that she had been to Zhangjiajie 2 years ago and it is really a beautiful place, even more, the movie AVATAR was filmed there, finally , we chose to Zhangjiajie.
I contacted with Zhangjiajie Tour Club, the operator Bill, he tailor--made a classic tour according to our requirements, he is very nice and patience.
As long as we got off the airplane in Dayong airport, we received a warm welcome from our guide Cathy, then it took us 10 minutes to our hotel.
On the way to Zhangjiajie National forest park, Cathy told us a lot of things about Zhangjiajie, 40 minutes later, we arrived in the park, all of us were astonished by the scenery presenting in front of us, there are so many mountains, which are similar with the mountains in the AVATAR, Yes, there do be one place like Pandora world on the earth.
On the first day, we visited yellow stone village in the morning, you'd better take the cablecar up to the mountain which will save you a lot of time and energy, of course it is also ok to hike up if you like hiking. 1.5 hours is enough. in the afternoon, we went to the Golden Whip Stream, the air is really fresh, Cathy told us that it could make us 3 seconds longer if you breath in the stream. the Golden Whip Stream is about 7.5 kilometers long, zigzags from Laomaowan to Shuiraosimen, nice place.
On the second day, we took the Bailong elevator to Yuanjiajie, Bailong elevator is about 326M high, only take 2 minutes from the bottom to the top. Yuanjiajie is also called AVATAR Mountain, YES, we saw the Hallelujah Mountain!!! this is the really Pandora world. You can take the green bus from Yuanjiajie to Tinazi Mountain, it is free, 40 minutes bus riding, you'd better choose to seat near to the window for there are a lot for sharp turnings. Tianzi Mountain is another must see place when you are in Zhangjiajie, our guide took us to Shengtang Bay, where doesn't open to public and almost no tourism groups, but the scenery is really awesome, thanks Bill, he designed such a good itinerary.
We stayed in Wulingyuan downtown, a small city near to the entrance of the park, we also enjoyed a wonderful show--the charming Xiangxi Dance Show. very nice.
We enjoyed our trip in Zhangjiajie very much!!!
