On the evening of February 9, 2018, the Spring Festival Concert was staged at Hunan Grand Theater. CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Secretary and Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee Director Du Jiahao, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Deputy Secretary and Hunan Governor Xu Dazhe, and representatives of provincial cadres and the general public enjoyed the musical feast altogether.
Provincial leaders including Wu Lan, Huang Guanchun, Wang Shaofeng, Cai Zhenhong, Hu Henghua, Xie Jianhui, Feng Yi, and Liu Liangyu watched the show.
Consisting of three parts, the concert presented various art forms such as solo; orchestral music; piano and violin performances; and, male and female vocal groups. It was featured with Chinese and Hunan culture, creating an air of festivity and showcasing the enterprising spirit of Hunan people.
The Hunan Spring Festival Concert, an annual art event, has been successfully held for 4 sessions. The concert was hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture, the Hunan Broadcasting System, and the Hunan Performance Group. It was undertaken by the Hunan Symphony Orchestra and conducted by famous conductor Yu Hai. The concert will be broadcast on Hunan ETV on February 18 morning (the third day of the first lunar month on the Chinese lunar calendar)
