Boris Shpilevskiy from Taipei RTS Santic Racing Team was titled the champion of the Jiahe Section of 2014 Tour of China International Road Cycling Race in Chenzhou, Hunan on September 9.
Jiahe section totals 140 kilometers with 3 sprint points and a four-level uphill, but temperature of almost 35 degrees Celsius was the greatest challenge for the cyclists.
Champion Boris Shpilevskiy was awarded the yellow jersey. In his media interview after the fierce competition, he said the Jiahe section race is really harsh, especially in such hot weather. Fortunately, he overcame the intense heat and cycled as normal.
Wang Meiyin from China RTS Hengxiang Racing Team received China Best White Jersey for his outstanding performance.
The cycling race was initiated in 2010, and has become the world's fourth longest race following Tour of France, Tour of Spain and Tour of Italy and boasts Asia's largest international road cycling race.
