Flood-hit Fenghuang Ancient Town Scenic Area Reopens to Tourists
The Scenic Area Administration of Fenghuang County announced that Fenghuang Ancient Town scenic area stricken by the flood on July 15 officially reopened to tourists on August 16. The much-anticipated night view of Fenghuang was also launched in the evening.
 
A person in charge told the reporter from Sanxiang City Express that after one month's restoration, the scenic spots severely damaged in the flood have been recovered. Among them, in Shawan Scenic Spot, Yingxi Tower swept down by the flood has been restored, and Dongguan Gate has been reinforced. The last batch of scaffolds has been removed from the North Gate Tower, a landmark of Fenghuang Ancient Town.
