The 12th National Painting and Changsha Painting Exhibition was held at Changsha Municipal Museum on the morning of July 6.
This exhibition, held every five years, attracted about 110 paintings including traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, water-color painting, gouache, sculpture, pen-and-ink painting and engraving.
Excellent paintings will be selected from this exhibition to participate in Hunan Excellent Painting Exhibition to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China held by Hunan Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Excellent paintings from Hunan Excellent Painting Exhibition will be exhibited at the 12th National Painting Exhibition jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and China Artists Association.
During the 3-day exhibition from July 6 to 8, citizens can enjoy the paintings free of charge from 9:00 to 16:30.
