Changsha Metro Releases Ticketing Policy
Changsha Metro Group Co., Ltd announced the fare policy for the city’s metro service on April 25. Changsha metro adopts a mileage fragmentation valuation system, with the starting fare being priced at 2 yuan, which affords a 6-kilometer ride. For distances over 6 kilometers, a mileage cost that progressively increases in units of 1 yuan is added to the starting price. For distances between 6-16 kilometers, 1 yuan is added per 5 kilometers. For distances between 16-30 kilometers, 1 yuan is increased per 7 kilometers. For distances over 30 kilometers, 1 yuan is added per 9 kilometers.
 
Changsha metro adopts the "one passenger one ticket" policy. The metro card types include single ticket, pre-paid metro card, student metro card, and senior citizen metro card.
