You know you're at the Stone village when you are surrounded by the overhanging cliffs, high staking platforms and jagged rocks! You can't claim to have come to Zhangjiajie if you don't visit Huangshizhai! Literally meaning stronghold in English, it covers an area of about 16.7 hectares at its top, the rock formations are over 300 million years old!
