The G537 Train from Changsha to Guilin arrives at Hengyang East Station on December 28.
The G537 Train departed from Changsha South Station at 14:30 on December 28, and arrived at Guilin Station after three hours and ten minutes. This is the first train after the completion of Hengyang-Liuzhou Railway and the first high-speed railway between Hunan and Guangxi.
The Hengyang-Liuzhou Railway, with the total length of 497.9 kilometers covers Hengyang, Qidong, Yongzhou, Guilin and Liuzhou. It has become a significant traffic artery and excellent tourist route between Hunan and Guangxi. It is also the first time for Hunan’s Qidong and Yongzhou to launch a high-speed railway.
The Hengyang-Liuzhou Railway plays a positive role in promoting tourism of the two provinces. A classic tourist route covering 120 million people in Hunan and Guangxi along the railway is gradually formed, and a 3-hour golden tourism circle including a series of famous scenic spots such as Hengyang's Shigu (Stone Drum) Academy, Yongzhou's Jiuyi Mountain, Guilin's Xiangbizui (Elephant Trunk) Hill, and Liuzhou's Village of the Miao Minority is also established.
