In recent days, the construction of the observation tower of the Yanghu Wetland Park has been comprehensively launched. It is expected to finish constructing and be open to the public before the May Day next year. Upon that time, visitors are assumed to be able to enjoy a full view of the park, which covers an area of more than 6,000 mu (4 million square meters) from the seven-storey observation tower.

Besides the tower, there is also a surrounding village in the program. With the tower as its center and surrounded by Chinese traditional hamlets, it is designed to represent the traditional village culture form, which not only matches the theme of agrarian culture in the wetland park but also highlights its theme in architectural presentation. Standing in the center, the tower is also projected to be decorated all around with such scenic spots as the Taohua (Peach Blossom) Cove, the Xinghua (Apricot Blossom) Woods, the Zhangshu King (King of Camphor Tree), and the Wolong Pool. Wherever the mollisol reaches, it is planned to be covered with plants like turfs, Chinese roses, sweet osmanthuses, and wintersweets.
