USA's Team from Fisher Confucius Classroom comes to Experience Chinese Culture

On June 20, 11 students and teachers from school districts of Fisher Confucius Classroom of USA arrived at Changsha, where they would experience Chinese culture for the Chinese Bridge at the international department of Tongshenghu Experimental School for a month. The leading teacher is Elizabeth Kangas, member of School Board Trustee at South Redford School District, president of the Fisher Confucius Classroom, and director of the Foundation for Global Youth Citizens. This is her third visit to China.

Sun Peiwen, president of Tongshenghu Experimental School, introduced that Fisher Confucius Classroom, undertaken by his school, is the only overseas Confucius classroom of Hunan. The team will learn Chinese language and culture, and participate in cultural experience activities at the international department of the school.

To follow the trend of education internationalization, the school takes Chinese and international cultural education and exchange as one of its features. Now, it has become sister school of many schools, including USA's Confucius Classroom at Fisher Elementary School, Thurston High school, and George Fox University.
