Oversea School-age youth get free entry to Zhangjiajie tourist sites from June 1

Some of the top tourist areas of Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, will soon offer free entry to students under 19 from June 1,2013 to May 31,2014. The mayor of Zhangjiajie government official said Thursday on news conference.

Chen Danfeng, a vice mayor of Zhangjiajie municipality, said students with school ID will be able to get into two tourist sites free of charge(Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Zhangjiajie Great Canyon).

According to the briefing, Wulingyuan will waive the 180 yuan ($28.82) entrance fee for students,though they will have to pay for optional services(Green Bus fee 65 yuan).

Zhangjiajie boasts two scenic spots that have been given 5A status, the top designation in China's rating system, namely Wulingyuan Scenic Area and the Tianmenshan National Forest Park.
