Hunan Acrobatic Show to Be Performed in Thailand for Cultural Exchange

A wonderful report-back performance of In the Kingdom of Lotus was staged at the Lotus Kingdom Theatre of the Splendid Hunan Cultural Creative Industry Park, Changsha, on the evening of May 10.

Entrusted by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the large acrobatic show on culture and tourism is invited to present a cultural exchange performance "Chinese Kinship, Charming Hunan" in Thailand, which is to be held from May 13 through 28 to celebrate the 38th anniversary of Sino-Thai Relations. It will well showcase the brilliance of colorful Hunan culture.

In the Kingdom of Lotus integrates the traditional acrobatics into Hunan cultural elements like Xiang Jun (lord of the Xiangjiang River), Hunan army, and Hunan girls, blending with the carriers of intangible cultural heritage such as martial arts, magic, embroidery, and Nvshu (Women's script). The acrobatic show gives a better understanding of Hunan culture. Since its preview in July 2012, 137 performances have been made, receiving 38,000 audience.

After the performance in Thailand, the acrobatic show will be staged in Changsha on June 6 with at least four performances each week, and offer a special offer to tourists and Changsha citizens. With the identification card of Changsha city proper, citizens can enjoy a preferential price at 50 yuan, 230 yuan lower than the usual price. Tourists buy one ticket at the usual price, and get one for free.
