Changsha West Lake Cultural Park:A Good Place for Amusement, Leisure and Food

It was learned from Yuelu District of Changsha on April 30 that the West Lake Cultural Park under construction in the district will be built into an entertainment block, which will be a good place for amusement, leisure and food.

The completed main construction of the glistening West Lake is decorated with an islet in the middle of the lake with green plantlet. Due to the beautiful scenes of the lake and islet, many anglers have been attracted to the lake. Landscape trees like gingkos and camphor trees are to be transplanted in the park, which can provide shade in summer time. After pre-construction, roadbeds for traffic passages and four underground garage around the lake were completed.

As part of the major project of “returning lake to people” in Changsha, the West Lake Cultural Park, taking up an area of 2400 mu (160 hectares), is positioned itself as a city park for tourism, leisure, culture, entertainment, sports and consumption. Renowned as Changsha’s  “small west lake”, t it will be open for free.

As the project progresses, the West Lake Cultural Park is expected to open at the end of this year.
