Worldwide Students to Enjoy Free Tour in Picturesque Zhangjiajie

Zhangjiajie Scenic Area announced not to raise ticket prices within 2013 and plans to open to middle school and primary school students around the world with free admission. 

Students under 19 years old will be privileged to enjoy free tour in the scenic area with their IDs, student IDs or passports if the proposal is approved, Chen Danfeng, deputy mayor of Zhangjiajie told the reporter on April 15.

Zhangjiajie known as the World Natural Heritage and World Geological Park received 3.59 million inbound tourists in 2012.

Zhangjiajie's tourism development strategy can be summarized as "shift from sightseeing to multi-dimensional and integrative tourism". To be more specific, the scenic area's revenue will not only depend on tickets income but on promotion of diversified tourism products. Boasting fantastic natural landscape, fresh air, clean water and green food, Zhangjiajie is cooperating with overseas companies in exploiting clean water source and promoting mountain vegetables in Wuling Mountain areas.
