5 Cultural Activities will be Launched in Furong District

To support the development of Changsha National Public Culture Service Demonstration Zone, Furong District of Changsha City launched 5 cultural activities to forge “charming Furong”. The themed activities include “academic Furong”, “inheritance of archaic flavor”, “public opinion express”, “happy movement” and “homeland sentiment”.

In order to better serve the citizens, Furong District also requires various streets to highlight their unique culture. For example, Jiucaiyuan Street takes curio and leisure culture as its focus, while scholarly and filial piety cultures are the themes of Dingwangtai Street.

Take cultural construction of Dingwangtai Street as an example, the street built the first comprehensive cultural station of Changsha in 2006, equipped with community stage, gym, reading room, green Internet bar, theater, soul station and so on. Last year, the street witnessed the establishment of a multifunctional mass cultural activity center, Hunan’s first grass-root training center of book culture, and characteristic cultural services centers such as club of migrant workers and soul station of white-collars. Now, these places become the favorite cultural and entertainment centers of the empty nest elderly, white-collar ladies and migrant workers.
