Changsha Goes Dark for Earth Hour

Jointly hosted by the Environmental Action Associations of Hunan Province and the Green Hunan Environment Fund, Earth Hour—“Construct a beautiful Two-oriented society, you and me” was launched in the Two-Oriented-Society Exhibition Hall of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster at the night of March 23. Over a hundred citizens experienced the “Two-oriented” life.

On the spot, the 83-aged initiator of the National College Student Green Camps Tang Xiyang narrated his “Two-oriented” dream. “Although I am old, I still have a ‘green dream’ as many of the present young people do. Since Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan is the pilot area of "Two-oriented Society" construction, I definitely have my ‘Two-oriented’ dream as a Hunanese.”

Afterwards, Zheng Jiaming, scholar of Huxiang Culture and speaker of “Hunan Story”, talked about the "Two-Oriented” Society construction from the angle of Huxiang Culture, leading the audience to roam a historical, cultural and ecological river. The two seniors called on the masses to jointly create a green star city and a beautiful Changsha beginning with small things.
