Inbound Tourist Arrivals in Changsha Exceed One Million

In recent years, Changsha's tourism industry has made remarkable achievements. In 2012, the city received a total of over 80 million tourists, including more than one million inbound tourists. The total income of the tourism industry reached 78.31 billion yuan, ranking seventh among the capital cities across China.

Changsha has basically formed an urban tourism circle with Yuelu Mountain and Orange Isle as the core, a mountainous leisure and vacation circle with Dawei Mountain and Daowu Mountain as the main scenery, and a countryside leisure circle around Huitang and Weishan Mountain. The city has 34 tourism enterprises whose individual operation income exceeds 100 million yuan. Changsha has been honored as one of China's top ten leisure and livable ecological cities and China's top ten cultural tourism cities.

IChangsha is expected to receive 95.55 million tourists this year and achieve a total tourism income of 95 billion yuan. The city will strive to develop the tourism industry into a 100-billion-yuan large industry and transform from a national excellent tourism destination into an international well-known tourism destination.
