Hunan's Exhibitions Bring Direct Income of 1.57 Bln Yuan

The direct income from exhibitions for Hunan reached 1.57 billion yuan in 2012. The exhibitions also brought revenue of 14.02 billion yuan for related industries. They were characterized by increasingly frequent trade cooperation and rapidly improved international level.

Last year, a total of 389 exhibitions were held in Hunan, among which 183 were large scale ones. Motivated by the national strategy of going global, Hunan held more exhibitions in other provinces and even abroad. The number of exhibitions by Hunan held in other provinces came to 35, and showed an increase of 7 compared with that of 2011, up 25%. There were 43 exhibitions abroad.

This year, the exhibition industry will be more prosperous in Hunan. The number of its exhibitions is expected to reach 410 to 430, of which around 20 will be international. The exhibitions will pay more attention to the concept of ecology. The exhibitions in chemicals, energy, and environmental protection will increase to eight to ten, and take the lead in international stage.
