On February, an official from Hunan Kaiyuan Museum displayed the appearance rendering of the museum and introduced that Hunan's first museum cluster will be completed in Huangxing Town of Changsha County in 2018. It will not only collect more than 1,600 horizontal inscribed boards, more than 3,000 manuscript copies of Chinese medicine secret recipes, over 7,000 silverwares from the Spring and Autumn Periods and Warring States Periods (BC 770-BC 221) to modern times, but also serve as the biggest antique trading center in central south China.
Located in the riverside of Liuyang River and the southwest of Huangxing's former residence in Huangxing Town, the project named "China Kaiyuan Cultural City" focuses on Hunan Kaiyuan Museum, in a bid to forge a landmark in Changsha. This urban cultural complex will be of high value in cultural relic exhibition and research, cultural products trading, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment. Six pavilions will be arranged in the museum, such as the First Pavilion for Horizontal Inscribed Boards in the World, Pavilion for Boards Inscribed by Leaders in the Revolution of 1911 (the Chinese bourgeois democratic revolution led by Dr, Sun Yat-sen which overthrew the Qing Dynasty) and Pavilion for Chinese Medicine Secret Recipes. Hunan Non-government Museum Cluster will also be built around the museum, including Memorial Hall for Hunan leaders in the Revolution of 1911 and Anti-Japanese War Museum.
