As a foreigner from the south of Himalaya, Victor celebrated the Spring Festival in Changsha this year. When talking about his experience, he said “Both the gathering of over 20 relatives and boisterous fireworks at the New Year’s Eve made me feel the strong atmosphere and importance of Chinese New Year”.
He said he never felt like leaving Changsha since his arrival here in 2004. Though not a big city, Changsha boasts of mountains, rivers and traditions which make it special. What’s more, he found his true love here, a beautiful Changsha girl.
With many Chinese returning home to celebrate the Spring Festival with their families, Victor felt greatly emotional. He said family is very important to Chinese people. The strong love and affection shown towards him made him feel very warm and welcome.
