Changsha: Tourism Revenue Reaches 231 million Yuan on February 13

As weather in Changsha turns better on Feburary 13, huge crowds of citizens were attracted by the on-going traditional folk-custom activities , going out with their families to enjoy lantern fair and traditional drama, send greetings of the new year and taste local snacks,  thus experiencing a most cheerful Spring Festival in Changsha.

 To cater for the needs of different customers, scenic spots in Changsha held various folk celebrations during the Spring Festival under the guidance of the Changsha Municipal Tourism Administration , attracting numbers of tourists with a cheerful and happy festive atmosphere. During the festival, apart from such scenic spots as the Martyrs' Park, Orange Isle, and Yuelu Mountain offering residents with many options for outdoor activities, kinds of old streets, new communities or counties like the Kaifu Temple, Fiery Palace, Pozi Street, Dingwangtai, Xianjia New Village and Ningxiang County all launched series of folk-custom activities. Currently, scenic spots in Changsha have welcomed their tourist flow peak. According to statistics from the Changsha Municipal Holiday Office, Changsha received 242,900 tourists on Feburary 13, a year-on-year increase of 16.5%, with its tourism revenue reaching 231 million yuan, up 37.2% compared with that of last year.
