Folk Environmental Protection Organization Holds Ecological Spring Festival Gala

On the afternoon of February 3, the Yueyang Porpoise Protection Association held a model commending meeting & a gala in Yueyang City to celebrate the World Wetlands Day that falls on February 2 and embrace the upcoming Spring Festival.

Nearly 1,000 volunteers from more than 50 teams across the country attended the first ecological gala in China held by the non-governmental environmental protection organization. Sixty porpoise volunteers were awarded, and 71 porpoise-protection volunteers made performances. The music drama "Porpoise Brothers" performed by fisherman volunteers was well received with warm applause.
