In 2012, Zhuzhou City completed 89 greening programs, planted 296,834 trees and shrubs, upgraded 137,801 square meters of green land and built 10,111 square meters of green land.
Greening expanded into the air and many roof gardens and gardens on bridges were constructed. In 2012, over 30 roof gardens with a total greening length of 5,923 meters were constructed in the downtown and one walled gardens with an area of 1,200 square meters was completed. Focusing on the greening of bridges in the downtown, Zhouzhu decorated 4 bridges with a greening length of 22 km, which ranks first across Hunan in forms and numbers.
Greening entered factories, communities and schoolyards as well. Greening landscapes in schoolyards were enriched in forms.
What's more, four forested parking lots were improved and six nodes of urban landscape were constructed.
