Gaosha Town of Dongkou County

According to Hunan Administration of Cultural Heritage, 4 towns and 8 villages in Hunan have already applied for the 6th batch of famous historical and cultural towns and villages of China on July 20.

The 4 towns are Gaosha Town of Dongkou County, Biancheng Town of Huayuan County, Heye Town of Shuangfeng County, and Wenjiashi Town of Liuyang City; the 8 villages are Laosicheng Village of Yongshun County, Yutou Village and Pingtan Village of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County, Shangbao Village and Datuan Village of Suining County, Lanxi Village of Jiangyong County, Laoche Village of Longshan County, and Weishan Village of Liling City.

At present, Hunan boasts 3 national famous historical and cultural cities, 5 famous historical and cultural towns and 8 famous historical and cultural villages.
