Hunan Changsha Receives 2.5 Mln Visitors over May Day Holiday

During the three-day May Day holiday, Changsha's 20 main tourism attractions in the statistical report received 2.498 million visitors and achieved a total tourism income of 1.76 billion yuan, growing by 29.8% and 28.5% over the same period of 2012 respectively.

Specifically, the giant marionette helped the Window of the World attract 52 thousand visitors in three days. Moreover, Yuelu Mountain and the Orange Isle received a total of 200 thousand tourists. The Hunan Forest Botanical Garden launched a promotion activity by offering tickets to tourists who give right answers to questions, attracting over 12 thousand visitors. Besides, the Changsha Ecological Zoo also saw a great number of visitors.
