Jinggang Ancient Town holds Cultural Feast in May Day Holiday

For the three-day May Day holiday that starts on April 29, Changsha’s Jinggang Ancient Town has prepared a distinguishing feast for tourists. Over ten splendid events have been well prepared, including folk song, dance and opera performance at Bayuan Hall, singing on gaily-painted barge, variety show on street, and reliving the archaic shadow show. Jinggang Town is booming with youthful vitality for thes culttual events.

In addition, there is also bonfire party on Qixing Square where tourists and residents sing and dance in circles around roaring campfire along the river, and performance at Yangliuhu Auditorium where tourists can drink tea and enjoy art shows.

During the holiday, people can stroll along the ancient street, watching variety shows and tasting special local snacks like sweet wine in earthen bowls, sesame tea and Jinggang Toufu so as to take a bite of Jinggang’s beauty.
