Located on the east bank of the Li River and covering an area of 120 hectares, Seven Star Park holds many attractions in one place.Seven Star Park is the largest and oldest comprehensive park in Guilin. The park consists of seven peaks and it is said that the seven peaks are seven stars that fell from the sky. Also, the shape of the seven peaks actually resembles seven stars-hence the name.

Famed scenic spots in the park include the Seven-star cave, Longyin Cave, Crescent Stone, Zenggong Stone, Camel Hill, Longyin Stone, Flower Bridge, Crescent Tower, Light of China Square, Children’s Amusement Park, Zoo, 3 Generals and 800 Warriors’ Tomb, Mosque, Potted Scenery and Gui Hai Stele Forest.  Several of the park’s attractions are heralded as symbols of the park: the Seven-star Peaks, Morning of Camel Hill, Crescent Rainbow Shadow and Putuo Stone Forest.

A visit to the Seven Star Cave is a must when coming to Seven Star Park. The cave is over 1.1 kilometers long, 50 meters at the widest point and 20 meters at the highest point. In ancient times, the cave was an underground river channel. During the passage of time and as a result of the movement of the Earth’s crust, the channel gradually became a cavern.  The cave has been a popular attraction since the Sui and Tang dynasties more than 1,300 years ago with its various, oddly -shaped karst formations. Visitors can see the vividly descriptive poems and inscriptions left on the walls by the cave’s many visitors.

Another must-see spot in the park is the Gui Hai Stele Forest. More than 2000 stone carvings are on display in the Forest. AS a result, the forest has been dubbed "The Ancient Calligaphy Art Circles" by visitors.

Camel Hill is another must-see spot in the park. The hill is about 20 meters high and is shaped like a one-humped camel-hence its name.  It is regarded as the symbol of Seven Star Park. The hill is surrounded by blooming flowers and thriving plants, and it almost seems as though a hungry camel is busy feeding.

When visiting Seven Star Park, a trip to the beautiful Flower Bridge is highly recommended.  The bridge is the entrance to the park on the Xiaodong River. With a history of over 700 years, the bridge has served as a very important pass since the Song Dynasty. There is a Wind and Rain Corridor on the bridge, making a convenient shelter for visitors on rainy days.  

There is also an interesting zoo in the park that animal lovers should not be missing. The undoubted highlight here is the lovely panda bear.
