Zhangjiajie is planning to set up a representative shop in Thailand

On June 9, Tourism Promotion Group made of the government of Wulingyuan District in Zhangjiajie started their journey to travel to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries in Southeastern Asia for promoting the scenary of Zhangjiajie Landscape. And this is the second time for Wulingyuan District making a group to develop tourism promotion in Southeastern Asia.

 It is reported that the Promotion Group will contact with the tourism industry and famous travel agencies to discuss some cooperation affairs during this promotion, especially as to the customers source market in Thailand, the promotion group will hold a large-size tourism promotion fair on the spot in Bangkok, mainly introducing the enrich and unique tourism resources of Zhangjiajie to all walks of people in Thailand,at the same time,the group will sign an agreement with related departments of Thailand for setting up shops representing Zhangjiajie in major cites of Thailand, and making efforts to have the shops built earlier

According to the News, in July of last year, the consultant of Thailand National Tourism Bureau, named Akapeng leading the inspecting group made a successful visit in Zhangjiajie, then signed a framework agreement about tourism cooperation with the government of Zhangjiajie,and opening direct airline and charted airplane for tourism was an important point in the agreement . On March 28 of this year, the charted airplane from Thailand succeed in flying to Zhangjiajie. During the promotion in Thailand , the promotion group will consult with tourism department and airplane companies of Thailand, planning to open direct airline and charted airplane for tourism from June and November, thus making it more convenient for Thais touring in Zhangjiajie.

  In recent years, more and more Thais fall in love with Zhangjiajie's scenary. According to statistics, more than 22,000 tourists from Thailand paid a visit in the core scenic regions of Wulingyuan in 2011, rising by 158% on a year-on-year basis. Now , Thailand has been the third customers source country behind South Korea and Malaysia.
