On February 16, 2012 Zhangjiajie City tourism market promotion forum was held. Mr Wang Yeyuan, Standing Municipal Committee & Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Mr Liang Bi, Vice Mayor, etc. attended the forum.
About the international tourism market, the meeting decided that this year's spring tourism promotion activities would be held in Southeast Asia, such as Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries. The municipal government will organize promotion groups to these countries and promote Zhangjiajie tour by returning visit, helding aseminares, complimentary tickets and other forms of cooperation with local media.
Mr Liangbi stressed at the meeting, On the international tourism market, we should not only consolidate the existing in South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and other overseas markets, but also develop hardly in the United States, Canada, and European tourism markets. During this year, we should find ways to strengthen the big traffic problems; strive actively for a new bright on the off-season tourism promotion work; and continue the activities of "peace & satisfaction in Zhangjiajie” so as to finish the tourism task determined by the municipal government in this year.
