Yellow Stone Village:Must-see Place in Zhangjiajie Travel

Yellow Stone Village is famous for its grand scenery. According to local stories, Gentleman Huangshi, the teacher of Zhangliang, saved Zhangliang. So, we call this place Yellow Stone Village. Located in eastern north part of the Zhangjiajie national forest park, Yellow Stone Village is mesa, which is 1080 meters above sea level and covers 16.5 Hectares. Western south part of Yellow Stone Village is higher than eastern north part. With cliffs around, the mesa is steep. It is the famous scenic spot in Zhangjiajie. Its main scenic spots are the quiet  road  in  fir  forest, The Precious Box for Hiding Sealed Book, The Magic Needle and so on.

The quiet road in fir forest
You climb hundreds steeps from front mountain Huangshi Village and enter into dense wood. The stone road is the Quiet Road in Fir Forest. There is dense fir wood around the road. The fresh air makes people refresh.

The Magic Needle
Beside road, there is a conical peak named Magic Needle, which is a hundred meters high and its top part is bigger than the bottom. It appears sometimes in cloud.

The Precious Box For Hiding Sealed Books
There is a precious stone box on the top of that stone column, whose cover had been opened. So, we call it the Precious Box for Hiding Sealed Books。

South-Heaven Pillar
South-heaven pillar locates on the road of Yellow Stone Village in the Zhangjiajie national forest park. It stands from the deep cliff after passing the South-Heaven Gate. It looks like a mountain guard. Among many grotesque peaks, it is typical.

South─Heaven Gate
There is a gate between the rock and cliff on the road. The gate faces to south. A road passes the gate. The gate is narrow and covered by wild trees. There are much cloud outside gate and looks like South Sky Gate in ancient stories. So, we named South-Heaven Gate.

The Platform of Snatching Stars
It locates on the top of Yellow Stone Village. We named it The Platform of Snatching Stars because of its high position. You can see flying cloud, flowing spring and grotesque rocks on the platform. The Platform of Snatching Stars is the main platform of sightseeing.

Six Wonder Pavilion
Located on the top of Yellow Stone Village, the pavilion has three stories. We named it because of six wonders as follow, peaks, stream, cloud, rock, tree and rare animal. It is the best place of sightseeing.

The Ruin Piers
On the left of The Black Fir Ridge, there are six high peaks between Yellow Stone Village and Yuanjiajie. They look like piers left behind from a ruined bridge.
