Story about Name of Zhangjiajie

The old name of Zhangjiajie is Green Rock Mountain (Qingyan Mountain). It changed Zhangjiajie later because of Zhangliang, former Prime Minister of Han Dynasty. According to local stories, Liubang established Han Dynasty and persecuted famous heroes. Zhangliang resigned from his duty and escaped. He arrived in Green Rock Mountain and settled down. Later, Zhangliang has descendents and became god.

Hundreds years later, an evil officer occupied Green Rock Mountain and drove descendents of Zhangliang away. One day, Zhang Jiaxiang, a hunter, went to Green Rock Mountain for hunting. He fought against the evil officer, when he found that officer occupied the mountain. During fighting, God Zhangliang appeared and defeated the evil officer. From then, Green Rock Mountain was changed its name as Zhangjiajie.
