Xiangxi(Western Hunan) Added Three Hot Spots for Foreign Investment

The three areas of Huayuan, Luxi and Baojing in the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture have been approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government as provincial-level industrial concentration zones. These three new investment hot spots will join the previous three provincial economic and technological development zones of Xiangxi, Jishou and Yongshun in looking to capture the attention of overseas investors. The three zones have already accommodated more than 60 companies which have fulfilled 70-plus infrastructure projects.

The three zones enjoy a steady development momentum, especially Huayuan Industrial Concentration Zone. Located in Huayuan, a county boasting abundant mineral resources, the zone has increased investment into infrastructure projects and stepped up efforts to perfect industrial layout. Owing to the strengthened cluster development capacity, the zone was acclaimed as "Hunan (Xiangxi) New Material Industry Base" and "Xiangxi National High-Tech Industrialization Base for Manganese Ore Processing".
