A bicycle competition was held on the Road on Mount Tianmen in Zhangjiajie

September 22 is the "No Vehicle Day in China". In the morning, the Friendly Competition of riding around the whole city and the challenging competition for riding on the road of Mount Tianmen were held in Zhangjiajie, so as to encourage all the people to go out by vehicles with less pollution and emission. This is the main activity of the First Chinese(Zhangjiajie) International Cultural Tourism for the old.

The competition consisted of Middle-aged Men Group, Men Youth Group,women group,altogether 1,384 competitors. Middle-aged and old people occupied a large proportion among these players, among which the oldest is 72 years old. In today's competition, after riding around the whole city,the competitors will make a way to the so called " Big Avenue"-the twisting road in Mount Tianmen. The whole length of the racing track is 35.77 kilometers, and lots track on the Mount Tianmen are steep hills.

The Twisting road on Tianmen Mount which is famous for unusual and dangerous features has 99 turns, which looks like being surrounded by a long chain,connecting with each other tightly, being higher and higher. The road is about 10.77 kilometers long, with a sharp increasing from the entrance to the destination with the height changing from 200 meters to 1,300 meters. Besides the road are many cliffs and haunting cloud and mist.

The winner is a college teacher from Kunming,Yunnan province,whose name is Zongyuerong, 45 years old. He spent 1 hour 17 minutes 12 seconds riding the whole racing track." Even though I'm tired,I have enjoyed the beautiful scenary along the way!" Going off from the Bicycle, Zongyuerong was very energetical, "I have just arrived at Zhangjiajie this morning by train. In fact, I had planned to take part in the competition at the beginning of this year, so today I am very happy that I have made may dream come true."
After the competition, an awarding ceremony was hosted on the playground of Tianmen Hole. Zongyuerong,Zhoufarong,Chenyilu got the first,second and third in the Middle-aged Men Group respectively;Chenkai,Chenxiangyuan,Xiaowei got the first,second and third in the Men Youth Group respectively;so does the Yuanwei,Qingxiaohong and Huanglian in the Women Group.
