Zhanajiajie signed terms about friendly cities with Pepi Lyon City of France

On July 10 ,the municipal committee, also the mayor of Zhangjiajie, Zhaoxiaoming met the municipal delegation of Pepi Lyon City of France led by the Vice Mayor, Jean Paul.Aldi, then they attended the ceremony for signing the terms about friendly cities between Zhangjiajie City and Pepi Lyon City

The Vice Mayor ,Liushuhua and Mr.Aldi on behalf of the two cities signed terms on establishing friendly city relationship respectively. The two sides will develop communication and cooperation in economy, trade, technology,culture,education,sports, health and personnel on equal and mutually beneficial base.

Pepi Lyon locates on the south of France, and due to be close to Mediterranean,it is a city centering on tourism. Mr. Zhaoxiaoming introduced briefly about the protection for Natural Heritage and economic and social development of Zhangjiajie. He also said that Zhangjiajie was a famous tourism destination in China, with the unique “quartz sandstone peak forest canyon Landscape”-the Zhangjiajie Landscape. And Pepi Lyon is also a very beautiful place, with a lot of experience in tourism development, so there exists many similarities between the two cities. Therefore, the coming of Aldi may deepen their understanding of each city and promote their friendship.

Aldi spoke highly of the achievements gained in balancing the economic development and environmental protection. He said the beautiful scenary of Zhangjiajie impressed them deeply,so they promised to promote Zhangjiajie to let the French know the charm of Zhangjiajie. Through this visit, he said that Zhangjiajie was not only a city full of vitality,but also a city paying attention to sustainable development when in the process of urbanization. Therefore, there existing great potential for Pepi Lyon and Zhangjiajie to cooperate.

At present, Zhangjiajie City has already built a friendly city with Hadong of South Korea, Mingmen City in Japan,Principality of Andorra Canillo Citya and other three cities. The development and communication between the friendly citied will provide a wider stage and larger space for Zhangjiajie to march in.
