Chinese and International Tourists Enjoy "Pursuing Love" in Zhangjiajie

The exceedingly fascinating and uniquely charming folk dance "Pursuing Love" was successfully staged at the 2012 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, bringing fame to its birthplace Charming Xiangxi Grand Theatre. In recent days, Hunan's folk performance, "Zhangjiajie · Charming Xiangxi" attracted over 1,000 tourists from home and abroad every day and "Pursuing Love" is their favorite item.

Previously known as "Pursuing Love in Lovesick Building", the folk dance draws materials from "Climbing Building", a high-quality program performed by Charming Xiangxi Grand Theatre in Zhangjiajie. It shows the Yao Nationality's customs of loving and wedding handed down from the matrilineal society in Xiangxi. Integrating dances and acrobatics, the show displays national traditional culture and ethnic customs of Xiangxi, Hunan Province.

Since its debut in 2000, "Zhangjiajie · Charming Xiangxi" has attracted 4.5 million tourists and becomes a cultural card of Zhangjiajie and Hunan.
