The Weather of Zhangjiajie

1. Though Zhangjiajie has no freezing winter and broiling summer, the best time traveling to Zhangjiajie is April and October. Temperature of Zhangjiajie in April and October is about 20℃ which is very comfortable. Besides, the most beautiful Zhangjiajie can be found during these to month.

2. Temperature on mountains (above 1200 meters) will be about 3-5℃ lower than the mountain food areas. Tourists should take a coat along when climbing mountains in Zhangjiajie. If it is rainy, you would better call off the itinerary, as the ghat become slippery and there will be heavy fog on the mountain top. If it is rainy, you will see nothing.

The best time to climb the mountain and get a nice view is one or two hours after the rain. It is a wise choosing to go mountain climbing on sweltering days? It is also unadvisable too. If it is hot, you may need to use up too much energy and at the same time there is no shade on several mountaintops.

3. Zhangjiajie rainy season is in July. During rainy season, drifting is not available from time to time. Those who want to do drifting must have a clear consultation before their trips.

4. It will be snowy in winter of Zhangjiajie. The snow brings unique views to tourists. The tour midseason in Zhangjiajie is Spring Festival, Labour Day Festival, Summer Vacation and National Day. As soon as the festivals come, all prices for hotel, dining, transportation and tickets will rise about 50% to 100%. During these seasons, it is hard to book hotels, so we advise people to avoid such seasons.
