Helong, one of the Ten Marshals in the People's Republic of China, was born in Sangzhi County of Zhangjiajie City. Face to south, the former residence is common house with three rooms. The house was built in Qing Dynasty by Heliangshi, the grandfather of Helong. In the spring of 1916, Helong made an uprising here with 20 people. In order to commemorate Helong, people of Sangzhi established Helong Museum base on former residence.
